FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Although the national real estate market has slowed since last year, home sales in Delaware County, Chester County and Montgomery Counties of Pennsylvania are still very strong, creating inventory shortages in many neighborhoods, according to top area realtor Don Dowd.
West Chester, PA – If you are planning to sell a home in Delaware County PA, there may never be a better time than the present to put it out on the market, according to top area realtor Don Dowd.
For the past several years, Dowd has consistently placed toward the top in home sales, even as a ‘seller's agent' in what has been one of the biggest buyers markets since the Great Depression. He accomplishes this by employing a unique arsenal of marketing strategies for each home he lists. These include:
Dowd's marketing methods are notorious for producing exceptional results for his clients and placing him in the top 5 out of over 3200 area RE/MAX agents for the past several years running.
As we enter 2014, Dowd says that there is a major shortage of homes for sale in many of the neighborhoods he serves.
"Homes that are listed in certain areas are bringing in lots of showings, and the ones in the most desirable price brackets often produce bidding wars," Dowd says. "This results in most sellers making quick sales and receiving at or above their asking price."
Nationally, experts are predicting that the 2014 real estate market will remain strong, but perhaps not as strong as 2013. However, those selling a home in Chester County, Delaware County or Montgomery County in Pennsylvania are still getting a lot of interest, particularly those in the hottest price brackets.
"The most desirable homes for sale in my region are in the $300,000 to $600,000 price bracket," Dowd continues. "With all the buyer interest out there, these homes tend to sell pretty quickly. Higher end homes are also selling well, but they may take a little more time to bring in the ideal buyer."
Dowd believes that now is the time for sellers to capitalize on the extremely favorable market conditions in his area.
"I believe 2014 will be another good year for the real estate market," Dowd continues. "But sooner or later, supply will catch up with demand, and it will not be as much of a seller's market as it is today. I would say if you are in the Delaware and Chester County markets and have been thinking about selling your home, now may be your best opportunity to get the price you want."
